Hey everyone! Suzanne here to share a quick card that I made using some beautiful Ruby Rock-it papers. The papers are really versatile so I’ve chosen the “Romance” print in the “Upstairs-Downstairs” collection and used it to create a Mother’s Day card. I’ve also used some GCD Studios “Artistic Papers” for Donna Salazar for the base of the card because it has really nice weight.
This particular print has a beautiful script font in the background that works perfectly for a feminine card. The flowers are hand-made out of mulberry paper and topped with Clearsnap’s Fairy Dust in Sugar Shimmer and glass glitter; the turquoise flower is an old Prima flower. Here are some close-ups:
These are the flowers up close…there are a couple of cabochons tucked in as well as a couple of Tim Holtz’s Memo Pins (sorry about the photos…it’s sooo cloudy here!).
I printed the sentiment on a piece of Artistic paper and fussy cut out an oval that I traced using a piece of chipboard; the edges were inked with Fluid Chalk by Clearsnap in Creamy Brown. The beautiful lace ribbon was given to me by my sister…it’s so pretty and fits this card perfectly.
I hope you enjoyed this project and have been inspired to honor your Mothers with a handmade gift! Happy Mother’s Day!
