Happy Wednesday! Suzanne here to share a layout today using Artistic Papers from GCD Studios for Donna Salazar Designs. I love this paper because of the weight and ability to hold up to much “abuse.”
Because it’s watercolor paper, it can take on “wet” mediums (inks, paints, mists etc) without having the paper peel, buckle, or fall apart when moisture is applied. Here’s a layout of my youngest daughter in which I’ve used the Artistic Papers.
The background paper and flowers are both Artistic Papers. The flowers were created using a stencil and various colors of Glimmer Mists; I fussy cut the flowers after they were completely dry. For a little visual interest, I added some Glimmer Glam behind the printed paper and picture with a fan brush.
Here I’ve layered in some fun printed papers and washi tape. My sewing machine was being tempermental, but it was likely operator error
.
I did the same thing at the bottom of the page as well-adding washi tape and an attempt at stitching-that clearly went wrong!
I hope you enjoyed this project!
