Happy Monday y’all! Suzanne here with a quick post featuring a couple of this month’s technique and theme challenges. I chose to do a layout using white and geared towards Valentine’s Day. I say “geared” because it’s not exactly a Valentine’s Day subject, but the colors are very reminiscent of the day and how can you NOT love this sweet little face (I’m a bit biased!)
!
There’s not a whole lot of paper here…a little of the Echo Park’s Happy Days collection peeking out here and there. My focus was the picture and keeping as much white visible as possible.
I dyed some muslin and ribbon in a not so careful way…to add more pops of the cranberry color. I used a color wash to do so, but you can do this with any Glimmer Mist or Smooch spritz spray and get the same results.
The title was cut using Cricut (Graphically Speaking). I triple cut the word, glued, sprayed with ink and covered it with UTEE. Although, the UTEE became a little angry and clouded up a bit (maybe from the piercing heat????
), I still like it because of the variegation of color. I hope you’re playing along and doing the challenges as well! Stay tuned for more from the other design team members!
